The SZD-50 has been purpose-built for low-frequency sound sources such as bass drums. Its wide, low-reaching frequency response goes all the way down to 30Hz, so even the lowest drum tunings are captured with clarity. At the top end of the frequency spectrum, the SZD-50 can reach up to 15kHz, giving you a wide range to capture every sonic element of your bass drum.

Bass drums can get pretty loud too. That's why the SZD-50 has been built to handle high sound pressure levels with ease. This dynamic microphone boasts a large diaphragm design and a low-impedance capsule, making it highly-capable of dealing with those high volumes. And with a cardioid polar pattern, the SZD-50 provides excellent isolation of your sound source. So you don't have to worry about sound from behind the microphone being picked up in your recordings.

This dynamic microphones features a wide frequency response, ranging from 50Hz to 16kHz. This makes it ideal for capturing all kinds of percussion, especially the ones around your drum kit. Its authentic, warm tonal character breathes life into your drum recordings, whilst its heavy-duty capsule and large diaphragm design means it can even handle drummers with heavy handed techniques.

And the SZC-80 condensers do just that. Capable of picking up sounds from 50Hz all the way up to 18kHz, they're ideal for recording the sound of a full drum kit. The SZD-30 percussion mics and the SZD-50 bass drum mic all feature integrated threaded mounting solutions, so you can attach them directly to stands. However, the package also includes three drum rim mounting clips for your percussion mics, so you don't even need to use stands at all when close-miking your kit. And when you're all done, simply place everything back in the case for easy transportation or safe storage.
