Key Features
Image Line Sakura is a physically-modelled synthesizer which can accurately reproduce the sound of stringed instruments and more. Whether you're looking to create the authentic sound of a single, delicate pluck, a violin bow, the resonance of a grand piano chamber or to take existing established sounds into wild new territories, Sakura is the synth for you. Following a five-step principle, Sakura can authentically recreate natural sounds by simulating the impulse and contact between the string and plucking to generate the sound of a pick, pluck, scrape, hammer, tap or the sound of your fingers. The dual string model then offers parameters to adjust the vibration of your string, offering damping, tension and positioning parameters. How the strings react to the vibration is then mixed and simulated with envelopes and subtle panning parameters before the resonance sound is passed through an eight-resonator 'body simulator' to create the size, material and shape of the instrument. Lastly, the acoustic space of your instrument is simulated by pairing chorusing, reverb and the resonance character to create a realistic and natural space for your instrument.
