Key Features
An analog powerhouse. If you desire to spice up your sound then Erica Synths' Black VCO2 is an essential module for your Euorack set-up. Despite its compact size, you'll find this module has lots to offer. Not only is it precise and consistent during operation, it also provides you with multiple waveform outputs, as well as an octave down suboscillator and a wide range of innovative features.
The Black VCO2 is in a league of its own. Unlike its competitors which offer harsh, brittle logic divider based suboscillators, the integrated transistor-based suboscillator empowers you with a defined squarewave. For even more tonal manipulation you can take advantage of the SAW waveshaper and two modulation LFOs.
Made from only the very best components. Erica Synths strive to give you their all. You'll be guaranteed the finest performance at all times, each and every input and output is built to offer total protection against undesirable over-voltage. Coming complete with a sleek, aesthetically pleasing all-black design, the VCO2 doesn't just sound great. It looks it too!

TUNE - Adjust this knob to achieve perfect tuning of the VCO across its two modules. Incredibly versatile, this can also be used to manipulate the integrated PWM LFO. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the pitch of the VCO, this will also decrease the amount of LFO frequency present.
FM LIN / EXP - Utilise this switch to flick between linear or exponential frequency modulation.
MOD SAW / PWM - This component acts as the modulation LFO selector. When you're working in a SAW setting you'll notice that only the waveshaper LFO is active. In the middle setting, both the saw waveshaper and PWM LFOs are active, whilst in PWM only the PWM LFO is engaged.
OCTAVE - Use this switch to manipulate the VCO up or down three octaves.
FM / PWM CV - This acts as a FM and PWM CV attenuator. It is purpose built to affect both CVs simultaneously.
PULSE WIDTH - Turn this knob to manually adjust the width of your signal.
1V/OCT - Patch in your 1V/oct CV source to this input. It allows you to track perfectly across a generous eight octaves.
FM IN - Desire vibrato effects? patch in here. Alternatively you can set the FM switch to LIN mode and combine two VCOs to create FM synthesis!
SAW CV - If no CV signal is applied to the saw waveshaper CV input then you'll find that the waveshaper is modulated by the in-built LFO.
SYNC - This acts as a VCO Sync Input. Should you desire, connect another VCO output into this section to reset your VCO circle. If you crave weird and wonderful tones then we suggest you make the most of this handy function!
SINE/TRI/SAW/PULSE/SUB - All of these exist as VCO outputs. Each of the four waveforms and suboscillator can be used simultaneously.
