The ultimate creation station, Syntakt sets the bar high with its advanced sequencing, complex sound-shaping capabilities and an intuitive interface linking them all together. Building on the success of previous hardware, Elektron set out the create a sonic powerhouse with the development of the Syntakt. This 12-track drum computer and synthesizer utilises hybrid synthesis, incorporating elements from the digital and analog realms, so you get the best of both worlds. Featuring a world-class, 64-step sequencer, the Syntakt acts as a fully-featured musical instrument. Not only is it ideal for sequencing drum patterns, but the Syntakt is also so much more than your average hardware sequencer.

Providing you with a comprehensive toolset, the Elektron Syntakt opens a new world of sonic exploration, providing the ability to craft sound, sequencer and perform – all in on place. Comprised of four analog and eight digital tracks, the Syntakt can be used to create captivating melodies, massive bass sounds and aggressive drum sequences. Its huge sonic palette makes it a must-have for any serious music producer/live performer.

At the heart of the Syntakt are 35 sound-generating machines that span everything from drums to melody. Featuring a whole host of unique machines, the Syntakt also borrows some from Analog Rytm and Model:Cycles. These inherited machines have been revamped for the Syntakt, providing deeper control over your sound. The crisp OLED display shows you the tailor-made parameter controls designed for each machine. With animated icons and instant visual feedback, the Syntakt provides all the power you need to create everything from distorted basslines to immersive soundscapes.

Onboard high-grade effects with FX block

Add some texture and colour to your sound using the onboard, studio-grade effects on offer. You can route each of your synth tracks/external audio sources through the FX black. This allows you to apply analog distortion, filter your sound or even incorporate a couple of LFOS for modulation. Reverb/delay send effects are also included for adding depth. You can also sequence the effects via the FX track, providing the means to create build-ups, transitions or create unique results on the master channel; the possibilities are endless.

Keyboard mode with scales makes composition easy

With a range of composition tools on offer, the Syntakt makes it easy to translate your ideas into sound. The unique ‘keyboard mode’ allows you to use the onboard buttons to play and control a wide range of scales. The vast variety of scales on offer allows you to explore something less familiar; great for capturing inspiration when it strikes. The different modes on offer help to boost your creativity and make creating melodies, rhythms and sequences easier than ever. You can play across a single octave similar to a standard keyboard or use fold and be presented with several octaves at once.

Advanced sound-shaping capabilities

For those more seasoned sound designers, the Syntakt offers multiple ways to shape and sculpt your sound. Each track is equipped with a Multimode filter for basic sound shaping. The digital tracks each feature a parametric EQ as well as a based-width filter for advanced sonic control. Two varying amplitude envelopes are available to choose from for contouring your sound. There is also the standard ASDR/AHD envelopes for controlling various sounds. Every synth track comes equipped with dual LFOs, complete with multiple waveforms and modulation destinations to choose from. If that wasn’t enough, the Syntakt features 1000 presets, created by leading sound designers and musicians.

Robust, portable and versatile design

From the studio to the stage, the Elektron Syntakt provides all you need to create and perform with the utmost confidence. The robust and compact design can fit within your lap, making it highly portable and perfect for musicians on the move. The intuitive interface features clearly labelled buttons and controls, which allow you to make informed changes to your sound at a glance. The rear of the Elektron Syntakt features a range of analog and digital connections including MIDI I/O (and Thru) as well as stereo I/O TRS connections. A USB connection is also included so you can use the Syntakt with your favourite music software.

The Digitakt Drum Machine is ideal for both live and studio applications, thanks to its compact design you can easily take your Digitakt anywhere you go. It’s performance-friendly features ensure you are ready to go at all times.

The powerful digital sound engine produces exceptional audio fidelity, capturing the original sounds in immense detail for optimised audio performance. The Digitakt Drum Computer is sample-based, featuring a 64MB sample memory and on-board storage of over 1GB.

Versatile step sequencer and hands-on controls

The Digitakt features a wide range of parameters and controls including high-resolution encoders. The durable, high-end encoders provide you with the means to dial in effects, samples and change the way your samples react. The highly durable back-lit buttons are designed for performers, rated for 50 million presses ensuring the Digitakt can withstand prolonged and extensive use.

The 16-step sequencer can be used to create complex rhythms and patterns. The step sequencer features dedicated buttons for drum sounds which can be customised to your own requirements. It also features eight MIDI tracks for sequencing external instruments, making it ideal for expanding your soundset.

Filter, effects and the OLED screen

In addition to the onboard step-sequencer, the Digitakt Elektron features two built-in send effects with dedicated buttons for enabling them. Delay and Reverb buttons are included, allowing you to add extra flair and character to your sounds, letting you to differentiate from the stock sounds to create atmospheric-style tones.

The unit also features a multimode-filter per audio track as well as an assignable LFO per track. The eight stereo audio tracks provide support for one-shot samples and sample chains making it ideal for live performances, as well as DJ use. Keeping track of your parameters, sounds and even the tempo is made easier than ever before thanks to the crisp OLED display that provides real-time information on most of your parameters and controls.

Compact and robust with versatile connectivity

The Digitakt’s compact and robust design makes it ideal for the digital musician on the move. The portable size will easily fit in your backpack with ease, allowing you to transport your drum machine wherever you go. The drum machine also boasts USB 2.0 connectivity with support for Overbridge. It also features a range of added connectivity including MIDI, In, Out and Thru ports as well as headphones outputs and dual 1/4-inch analog inputs for stereo connectivity.

The Elektron Digitone revolutionises FM synthesis, combining classic sound principles with subtractive synthesis signal flow. The revitalisation of FM sounds makes for a truly unique synthesis experience. You can choose from multiple FM algorithms with specially selected parameters. The sound design capabilities are endless, incorporating powerful filters and effects for shaping your tone. It opens up a whole new world of sounds and timbres, ranging from metallic-style percussive sounds, to soft pads and everything in between. The unit also comes complete with a wide range of premium-grade factory presets. It boasts 512 premium-grade sounds in total, with sounds created by Blush Response, DivKid, Mark Fell and more. Each voice boasts a multimode filter, base-width filter, overdrive and dual assignable LFOs for maximum versatility.

Integrated 16-step sequencer

The powerful onboard 16-step sequencer features four synth tracks and three midi tracks as well as an arpeggiator per track. The innovative polyphonic sequencing capabilities allow you to create complex patterns and rhythms with ease. The intuitive design allows you to set individual track lengths, as well as locking parameters into place. You can also set the sequencer to change the sound per step, ideal for live performances where you want to switch up the style and tone.

In-depth controls

The ergonomic layout of the Digitone Synthesizer features a comprehensive control section including a wide range of buttons. Accompanying the buttons, are a range of rotary encoders, designed for changing levels and parameters with optimal precision. There are dedicated transport buttons for Copy, Clear, Paste, Tap Tempo, Unison and more. A handy Save project button is also included so you can instantly save your progress with ease. Also on board is a built-in metronome, as well as a mute mode with 4 mute buttons.

Premium-quality effects

For in-depth sound design, the Digitone also includes a wide variety of integrated effects. The Send & Master effects can be used to further sculpt your sounds. The effects are comprised of a Panoramic Chorus, Saturator Delay, Supervoid Reverb and Overdrive.
