Transtube History

Peavey spent a lot of time recreating tube tone and taking into account each factor that needed to be considered like the entire component chain and how each one interacts with the others. The damping factor and the corresponding speaker response has to be the same as an original tube tone amplifier. Many factors were taken into consideration when building the transtube amps including cabinet size, bracing, wood, and thickness. After years of research and experimentation, Peavey then designed an incredibly versatile, well rounded, transtube amplifier, built to be perfect for almost any gig environment.

Two Channel Peavey

The Peavey Transtube Bandit has a range of controls and is all you need for the perfect gig setup. Featuring high gain and low gain inputs, master reverb and boost options. You have the endless opportunities of playing in different genres, playing clean or lead tones, or playing vintage classic tones. Playing clean, the Peavey Bandit has a vintage classic / warm switch with dials to turn up volume and the highs, mids, and lows. Switching on the lead channel will change the amp's tonal character completely, giving you the opportunity to play classic modern / high gain, adding a post gain turning dial for extra power. The back of the amplifier features a power level switch which gives the impression of using all the power valves, or half the power valves of a real tube amplifier, depending on the setting you choose.

Classic Peavey Styling

From Peavey's past and present, they have carried the original Peavey styling right through to the present today, including signature picture frame edges which are reinforced to protect the structure of the amp. The amplifier also has a silver/black woven mesh front which provides more edge to the Peavey look. Centralised and mounted onto a black rim sits the classic Peavey hieroglyphics screaming everything rock 'N' roll. The outer layer of the Peavey Bandit is a solid hard-wear material with attached comfy carry handle that fits right into the structure of your hand.
