The G9200 Resonator comes from the Gretsch Roots collection, aiming to resurrect classic designs from the past and bring their unique tones to the modern stage. It is perfect for creating both metallic and loud tones that are ideal for genres like Delta blues. If you want to add a unique tonal addition to your collection, or simply explore the Delta-blues sound, this is the ideal instrument to let you do so.
Equipped with a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic diaphragm resonator cone, hand-spun in Eastern Europe and crafted from pure aluminium, this model creates distinctive metallic overtones as well as the classic Delta-blues sound. It has been mounted to a mahogany body, a material chosen for its warmth and booming projection. This, on top of the katalox fingerboard, provides an additional sustain and dark resonance. If you're familiar with the Delta-blues sound, this guitar will allow you to recreate it in a powerful and authentic way.
This model has been crafted with a round-back neck, topped with a soft V-neck profile. Thanks to this, it fits comfortably and naturally in the palm of your hand for luxurious playing experience. The mahogany has been further finished with a semi-gloss finish, allowing for smooth transitions along the neck. The perfection doesn't stop there though. The body has been sculpted with traditional f-holes and finished with a lovely natural colour that allows the beauty of the mahogany to shine through. With its traditional design features, the G9200 Boxcar wouldn't look out-of-place from many decades ago in the Mississippi delta and will give you authentic and powerful tones.
