Out of exile. Welcome to the soul of metal guitar making. The Dean Exile Select Floyd Rose combines Dean's years of hard rock know-how with the very latest components and techniques to create a reliable and attractive workhorse guitar. Its cutting edge, Fishman Fluence Modern pickups provide near-endless flavours of searing rock, thanks to their combination of regular passive and boosted active modes, accessed by a neat push-pull knob.
The Exile Select was born to shred. Its shallow-radius, ebony fretboard is ready-made for virtuoso playing, with Dean's 'all-access' heel joint providing unmatched freedom around the upper frets. For solos dripping with individual style, the Floyd-Rose 1000 locking tremolo bridge makes outlandish bends and elegant vibrato a breeze. With a sleek, satin black finish, and matching black hardware, the Dean Exile Select ensures you'll catch the audience's eye as well as their ear.

Actively improve your heavy tone. This Exile Select model comes loaded with Fishman's astounding Fluence Modern pickup set. These ultra-versatile pickups each feature two separate voicings, easily switched between via a push-pull tone knob. The first is a full-throttle, active onslaught, with a chunky, yet controlled bottom end, and a crisp, pushed top. The second is a slightly more controlled, passive humbucker sound, immediately recognisable and universally usable. Metalcore legends from trivium to Killswitch Engage are huge fans of these pickups, and it's easy to hear why.
Your creativity, unleashed. Dean designed the Exile Select to accommodate both punishing riffs and soaring solos with equal ease. The three-piece maple neck has a slim-D shape, making single-note picking and drop-tuned chords easy as pie. Combined with the sleek ebony fretboard's shallow, 16" radius, and the Dean-exclusive 'all-access' neck joint design, you can dive right into top-fret lead lines at the drop of a hat. Pure showmanship, built in.
Those fans won't wow themselves. But you can grab their attention instantly with the Exile's Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo system. It's designed specifically to provide limitless, precise, whammy-bar magic to get the best from your performance. Its matching locking nut, and a set of Mini-Grover tuners ensure your tuning remains rock-solid, through any amount of lead guitar acrobatics, and all the hardware is finished in stylish black, completing the Exile's cohesive look.
