One-Piece Core Bar & Pinless Construction

Traditionally constructed flutes often suffer with a lot of wear and tear issues. To prevent this from happening in today's demanding market, Pearl has created a one-piece core-bar. Pearl has designed a rod which can extend from the high C through to the king post, resulting in improved reliability and stability around weaker areas on the flute, also improving the comfort of action for all players. The keywork is built upon the patented pinless construction, to help eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional flute manufacturing. This works by reducing the areas affected by humidity and temperature change. The additional bridge mechanisms provide added strength to the entire construction and enables an easy and unique playing experience for all. To prevent entry of perspiration into the mechanism, Pearl has inserted socket-head screws from the underside of the keywork.

Silver Headjoint

The Solid Silver Headjoint adds more value to the instrument and is a desirable feature for advancing players and avid musicians alike. The headjoint is capable of producing a richer and more mellow focused sound. Higher quality metals produce better quality headjoints, resulting in an improved overall flute sound.

French Style Open Hole Keys

The flute also features "French"-style open hole keys, popular with players of every level. This key design requires more precision to play than "Plateau"-style closed keys, but offers greater freedom of expression and allows players to experiment with more advanced techniques such as quarter tones and glissandos.

Split E and Offset G Mechanisms

The split E mechanism allows you to play the difficult top E - typically a weak sounding and unreliable note, with far greater ease and consistency. The flute also has an offset G key, which helps to provide a more comfortable hand position for players with a smaller hand span.

All Pearl flutes come with a case, case cover, polishing cloth and cleaning rod so you have everything you need to care for your new instrument. Open hole models also include a set of plugs.
