The Ibanez RG470MB 2018 is equipped with a set of 3 Ibanez Quantum pickups, fitted at the bridge, middle and neck positions. The pickups are designed to offer the player a range of tones, letting them achieve the perfect sound with ease. The 2 humbuckers provide a thick bass response, ideal for punchy rhythm riffs, while the single-coil at the middle, offers crisp treble response with smooth mids and a firm, tight bass. In addition, these pickups also offer a precise high-end articulation, ideal for rock and metal players, and can be selected via a 5-way switch for versatile tonal shaping.

Crafted With Mahogany Body

This RG Series Electric Guitar is constructed with a strong, mahogany body which is a tonewood that works exceptionally well with punchy rock music. The mahogany delivers plenty of resonance, for a full bodied tone that sounds thick and rich. Mahogany offers warm tonal characteristics, as well as delivering pronounced low-mids with a good amount of grind and growl. The mahogany body ages well, and the tone also matures throughout the years, making it a durable and long lasting investment.

Wizard III Neck Profile

The Ibanez Wizard III neck profile offers incredible comfort and speed for fast hand manoeuvres. While the maple neck provides a naturally smooth feel, the Wizard III profile offers a thin, contoured shape that lets your hand cup the neck with ease. In addition, the maple fingerboard brings enhanced sparkling highs, and crystal clarity, for an overall bright tone.
