The Godin Stadium 59 MN in Desert Green is a modern take on a vintage guitar. It features a familiar single cutaway bolt-on body design and a classic choice of tonewoods for a traditional tonal response. This is combined with a modern playing specification, newly designed body contours and modern construction quality and hardware choices to give you the feel of a contemporary guitar.
The Stadium 59 has a classic neck tonewood combination of maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The body is crafted from basswood which is highly versatile in its tonal output and very responsive to your playing nuances. It is also light weight and will make the Stadium 59 comfortable for playing over long periods of time.
The Stadium 59 has a sleek 4-bolt neck joint that helps you access the top-frets with ease. The guitar has a sleek contoured body for enhanced playing comfort. The neck has a modern 12'' fingerboard radius which is quite flat and will allow you to set up a lower string action, along with making it easier to perform string bends with lower risk of the strings 'choking'.
A Godin Cajun single coil bridge pickup promises a fiery sound and will make the most of the basswood body and ashtray bridge. This single coil provides a biting sound that would be ideal for blues and rock tones, along with modern country sounds. The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker which has a low-medium gain output and creates a true warm humbucker sound but still allows the nuances of your playing to come through.
Godin has wired the Stadium 59 with a versatile 5-way switch for a versatile range of tones. The guitar also has the High Definition Revoicer circuit which delivers an instantly switchable bright sound.
A fully adjustable ashtray bridge provides a vintage look and bright tonality, along with a modern ability to be intonated accurately. The Godin machine heads are high ratio (18:1) for accurate and stable tuning, while the Graphtech Tusq nut delivers a low-friction platform for your strings to sit in.
Despite its vintage looks, this is a thoroughly modern guitar and will deliver a professional performance night after night in many different genres of music.
