Equipped with fantastic electronics which offer many sonic possibilities, the Music Man Floating Vintage Tremolo Bridge allows you to pitch bend to your hearts content, knowing that the robust Schaller Locking Tuners will keep your guitar in tune. Unlike the previous Luke models, the Luke 3 is equipped with a pair of Custom DiMarzio Transition Passive Pickups which can be selected with a 5-way pickup switcher. The DiMarzio pickups allow more dynamic tones to be produced, and with a more natural sound they work well for more smooth styles of music. The passive pickups are accompanied by an active preamp which offers even more sounds, with push/pull control for a gain dB boost; the electronics on this guitar assist you with creating an incredible and versatile performance.

Alder Body With Rosewood Fingerboard

Crafted in the Music Man factory in the United States, the Luke 3 is made from an alder body, which produces a strong and full bodied sound with plenty of sustain. The Luke's sleek, alder body offers amazing resonance as well as comfort. The alder body is carved beautifully with a double cutaway, making it remarkably comfortable. The body of the Luke 3 is slightly larger than the previous Luke models, perfect for the taller guitarists. Featuring a rosewood fingerboard, the Luke 3 offers a rich and focused sound, which alongside the bright maple neck is a sonically pleasing couple.

Roasted Maple Neck

The Luke 3 Electric Guitar features the classic narrow neck of Music Man guitars, which paired with the double cutaway body, allows easier access to the higher frets for a more versatile performance. The neck is manufactured from stunning select roasted maple, which has the popular aged maple look naturally without creating it yourself. As well as adding to the appearance of the guitar, it also produces a more snappier tone than the classic maple neck. Shaped with a V-profile and finished with gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax, the neck of the Luke 3 guitar is exceptionally smooth and comfortable for those long performances, as well as having the vintage, old guitar look.

About Steve Lukather

Steve Lukather has had an amazing music career as the main guitarist in the American rock band Toto, as well as a successful solo artist. This Grammy award winner teamed up with Music Man to design and create his own signature electric guitar collection. Steve claims the Luke is a hybrid of all of the guitars he loved whilst growing up, making it an incredible instrument to own and play.
