The Fender American Elite Strat is constructed with a lightweight alder body, producing a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity and body. The tonewood provides a decent amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, excellently rounded lows, and beefy mids. Fender have used alder as their tonewood of choice for electric guitars since the 1950s, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues playing.
Designed for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck is perfect for all playing styles. With a modern ''C'' shape at the nut, the profile then transitions along the length of the neck to a modern ''D'' shaped profile at the neck heel, providing plenty of support and ensuring comfortable playing sessions. Maple is used for both the neck and fingerboard, resulting in a beautifully bright characteristic with sizzling highs, firm lows, and a snappy midrange attack.
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut the American Elite Stratocaster delivers an increased resonance and brighter tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
The American Elite is equipped with two 4th Generation Noiseless single-coil pickups, with a Shawbucker at the bridge to deliver incredible powerful, vintage tones. While the Noiseless single-coils feature a vintage and modern design, the Shawbucker humbucker is built to beef up any tone for the classic rock sound. Switch between the vintage, crystal clear tones of the single-coils, or switch to the powerfully nuanced tones of the humbucker.
The Stratocaster is also equipped with additional controls to enhance its versatility, with two switches to expand its tonal possibilities. The push-push switch enables the guitar’s ''passing lane'' to instantly reroute the strat to its bridge pickup signal while bypassing the tone circuit, producing an incredible overdriven tonality with enhanced overtones and high output. The S-1 switch is located on the volume pot, providing players with additional wiring options and providing even more tonal variations.
The American Elite Strat also includes an Elite moulded case, featuring body-hugging contours to firmly hold the guitar in place. TSA latches are also included for enhanced security and easy access. This durable case also features a stacking ability, for easy storage and transport.
When many people think of an electric guitar, this is the one that leaps to mind. The Stratocaster is one of the world's most popular guitars and is an elegantly versatile creation. Not long after Fender revolutionised music with the Telecaster and the Precision Bass, in 1954 they debuted the Stratocaster and it quickly became universally regarded as the archetypal electric guitar. Sleek and stylish aesthetics, smooth playing and tonally versatile, at the heart the Stratocaster remains a fantastic instrument - producing unmistakable sound with a timeless design. A first choice among players worldwide, there is simply nothing that sings, screams, whispers, moans, roars, rocks and rolls like a Fender Stratocaster.
