A standard bass is a vast instrument. They usually comprise of a whopping 34" scale length, which for many players can be a bit of stretch. Ibanez have managed to shrink the size, but maintain the glorious, rumbling register of a standard bass.
Not only does this make things easier for your fretting hand, but as the entire body is also smaller in stature, it's going to be much kinder on your shoulders if you've got to use a strap for an extended period. Dinky, dynamic and dulcet, the GSRM20B proves that size doesn't matter.
Crafted with a poplar body, maple neck and a jatoba fretboard, the GRSM20B offers good levels of projection with a clear chiming tone, and a good amount of ringing sustain. The maple neck is supremely comfortable thanks to the shorter scale, and it bright, snappy qualities provide an excellent response to your fretting.
Carved into an attractive Ibanez style, this miKro bass has an engaging appearance that matches well with any genre. A cutaway neck profile also allows unhindered access to the higher frets, giving you an easy time sprinkling in the higher registers.
P and J, a classic combination for both sandwiches and bass guitars. That's good news, because the GSRM20b comes equipped with two powerful Dynamix bass pickups in a classic "P/J" configuration. This tried-and-tested mix of a punchy "P"-style split coil neck pickup and mellow "J"-style single coil bridge pickup allows the instrument to achieve everything from warm jazz sounds to thunderous rock tones. The two pickups are wired to individual volume controls and share a master tone control, letting you dial in the perfect sound for your playing style.
