With a set-in mahogany neck sculpted to Dave Mustaine's unique specification, the Dean VMNT PS maintains the resonance and durability of thicker D shaped necks, but with a slightly thinner profile. A 25.5" scale length and jatoba fingerboard with custom Dave Mustaine pearl dot inlays, you are certain to be shredding with ease. Mustaine himself raves that this may be his favourite neck ever.
String Thru Construction
The V Dave Mustaine incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain. Additionally, the string-thru bridge offers enhanced tone and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body. Its tune-o-matic bridge also offers string and tuning stability.
About Dave Mustaine
Born in 1961, Dave Mustaine is an American guitarist who was the original lead guitarist for heavy metal titans Metallica. After leaving Metallica, Dave Mustaine formed the band Megadeth and has since released 14 studio albums with hit songs such as "Symphony of Destruction", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Trust". In 2006 Dave received an endorsement from Dean Guitars and has since released a series of signature models with custom specifications and unique finishes. Mustaine is considered to be one of the most influential heavy metal guitarists of all time.
