Every drum is powered by the distinctive sound of its 100% Oak shell. The deep, undrilled bass drum produces unprecedented low-end projection. The Loud Series snare provides a tunning punch at the heart of the kit. The Oak Custom X is perfectly complemented by striking dark chrome hardware.

The 8-ply, 100% Oak, Loud Series snare is popular with the harder and more aggressive player thanks to Oak's massive volume and short decay. The 9 vent holes that release the air from the drum creates unbelievable power that has to be heard to be believed.

Premium-grade dark chrome hardware is used throughout the kit, adding a distinctive look to the distinctive tone.

Shells

All Oak Custom X drums are crafted using 100% Oak shells with a 45 degree bearing edge for superb tone. The kit features and 8-ply snare drum, 7-ply bass drum and 6-ply toms and floor toms.

Air Seal System

All Oak Custom X drums are handcrafted in Japan using our Air Seal system. By applying evenly distributed air pressure to diagonal seemed shells this system produces a very strong and perfectly round shell with a great solid tone and maximum tuning range.

YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System)

Small, oval-shaped lugs are attached to the shell with a single bolt. This means minimum 'lug-toshell' contact, ensuring maximum tone. Oak Custom X uses our YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting on all toms and floor toms to maximise the resonance of the shell.
